Road Rage Incident In Punta Gorda Leads To Man Pointing Gun At Someone’s Head
David Spurlin, 62, was arrested and is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of battery, and one count of improper exhibition of a dangerous weapon, after a road-rage incident gone wrong.
It started when Spurlin cut the unnamed victim off and drove them off the road nearĀ Kings Crossing Shopping Center. The victim tried to get in front of Spurlin, but he kept cutting them off.
Spurlin followed the victim all the way to an apartment complex. He blocked their car in with his own. They got into a shouting match and after a little while, Spurlin pulled out a pistol with a laser sight on it and pointed the laser directly at the victim’s head. He then physically assaulted the victims and eventually left.
He was pulled over by the police a short distance away from the complex and was arrested.
