Salvation Army Opens Shelter For Homeless In Fort Myers

Time for some good news.

On January 22nd, The Salvation Army opened a new shelter for the homeless in Fort Myers.

The shelter will be located at 2450 Edison Avenue.

The need for a shelter has been a hot button issue in Fort Myers since Centennial Park closed down for renovations. Centennial Park was home to dozens of homeless.

Lee County Commissioners worked closely with the Salvation Army to make this possible.
