Is it possible that prices at the pump are higher because of the COVID-19 vaccine?

According to AAA the average price per gallon of gas in Lee County is $2.34, and in Collier County it’s $2.38.

According to Local 10 Miami the gasoline price increase is due to the gain in crude oil prices, which at least partly, is due to optimism that the vaccines will eventually lead to more global fuel consumption.

So it’s the stock market. Your IRA and 401K is up, but so are gas prices. Maybe I should drive a car that gets better than 24 miles per gallon?

Nah.
