Muse and their ambitious Simulation Theory tour is now a concert film, and its trailer has just dropped.

The Simulation Theory film is heading to select IMAX screens on August 17, but it will be more accessible beginning August 21 as a digital download.

According to the trailer’s YouTube description, the concert film was filmed at London’s O2 Arena in September 2019. The concept of the stage show/film, “…follows a team of scientists as they investigate the source of a paranormal anomaly appearing around the world. Blurring the lines between narrative and concert film, virtual and reality, Muse’s most theatrical tour to date launches the viewer through a supernatural spectacle, questioning the world around us.”

The Simulation Theory concert film will also be released as a box set on December 11 in a variety of formats and bundles featuring a wide range of extras from masks and posters to glasses and jackets.
