COCOA, FL - SEPTEMBER 07: Traffic on Interstate 95 while moving in both directions, was noticeably heavier in the northbound lanes as residents and visitors in Florida evacuate the area ahead of Hurricane Irma on September 07, 2017 in Cocoa, Florida.(Photo by Brian Blanco/Getty Images)

Brandon Purcell, 25, was arrested on Thursday after leading police on a chase for nearly four miles.

Purcell threatened to kill the employees of Garibalidis Mexican Restaurant and Bakery and said “I hate Mexicans.” When a bystander tried to get in his way, he punched him in the face.

Purcell left the restaurant and harassed another man at a Circle K before going to his place of residence in the Reflection Lakes Community.

A police officer saw him there, and when Purcell saw the officer he flipped him the bird. After that he attempted to flee.

He fled until two of his tires went flat and his car caught fire. He had to escape through his window which is when officers apprehended him.
