Sarah Newcomb, owner of The Wine Room in Downtown Fort Myers, is set to open her doors soon. The Wine Room, across from Hotel Indigo, will be able to to hold 800 bottles of wine, and seat around 38 people. She stated that “people are comparing it to a Starbucks with wine.” She is also the CEO of The Estero Chamber Of Commerce, and three percent of her sales will go to nonprofits.
The Green Cup Cafe is also set to open up sometime in July under new owners. The new owners Robert Padgorski and Jennifer Carbajal bought The Green Cup Cafe in mid March when the Green Cup closed its doors permanently. Padgorski said,“I didn’t want to see that disappear, I ended up calling the number and meeting with the lady, and here we are.”
Wild About Popcorn also opened it’s doors on June 1st. You can find this new spot next to Downtown House Of Pizza and Cigar Bar downtown. This is their 2nd location in Southwest Florida and they remain positive that their legacy will continue for a long time. Ed Caracappa says, “We pop seven days a week in Cape Coral. We make 60-plus different kinds of flavors. The quality, the freshness, the diversity of the recipes we make stands out.”
