According to WPTV Storm Team 5 Meteorologist Kahtia Hall reported that the National Weather Service said that the object could be part of the Quadrantid meteor shower which is occurring through mid-January.

This isn't the first time we've had weird objects in the sky. Back in July, residents of SWFL captured what The American Meteor Society says was likely an old Chinese satellite.
