For tonight's Weird Weiner News we travel to China's Hunan Province, where we meet a man who woke up with a surprise to his shaft!

Doctors in China reattached a man's severed penis, after he woke up to find it had been cut off during a night of drinking.

The man identified as "Tan", was out with friends and blacked out after strong rice wine.

The 44-year-old awoke at 5:00 a.m. covered in blood, and found that his penis was almost completely removed from his body.

Tan's penis remained attached by just one-fifth of an inch of skin, the report said.

He then called his brother, who rushed him to several local hospitals. However, those hospitals were unable to treat the severed penis, so the man was eventually transferred to Xiangya Hospital of Central South University.

Seven hours of surgery later, the penis was successfully reattached. Doctors had to sew together his urethra, spongy tissues, and blood vessels.

Doctors say that his sexual functions should be back to normal soon.
