7/11 owner Jay Singh had a unique way of handling a shoplifter last week.
Jay spotted a young man stuffing items into his pocket. When the owner said he was going to call 911, the customer offered to put everything back.
Jay told the young man to put everything on the counter, so he did.
Jay then asked the boy why he was stealing it, to which the boy replied "I'm hungry. I'm stealing it for myself and my younger brother."
Instead of calling the police, Singh filled a bag with food and sent the boy on his way.
Jay said "He's a young kid. That will go on his record that he was a thief. He cannot do anything in his life. He will not get a good job. This will not solve his hunger problem."
