A Man Rescues a Baby Tumbling Down an Escalator

Security video at a mall in China filmed a little girl in a baby walker rolling out of a restaurant and onto the concourse.  Then she sees an escalator and decides to give it a go.

She pushes her way onto the top of the upward stairs, which causes the walker to flip and start tumbling down.

Fortunately, a bystander on the lower level hears the commotion and runs up the stairs to grab her.  By then the mom is at the top of the stairs and he hands her over.  The baby had minor injuries.

According to a report, the baby’s parents were in charge of the restaurant, and they took their eye off of her just long enough for her to get away.

Man rescues baby in stroller falling down escalator in China's Jiangsu

A heroic soldier ran to rescue a nine-month-old baby falling down an escalator at a Chinese mall. The CCTV video, captured in Wuxi City in eastern China's Jiangsu Province on January 18, shows an infant in a baby walker moving out of a restaurant to the edge of a six-metre-high escalator and started tumbling down.
