VIDEO: Lzzy Hale on Where She Keeps Her GRAMMY

In the leadup to the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards, the Recording Academy is catching up with previous GRAMMY winners to find out where they keep their GRAMMYs, and included among those highlighted winners is Lzzy Hale.

Halestorm won the GRAMMY for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for “Love Bites (So Do I)” in 2012, and while Hale says in the video below that she keeps her GRAMMY in a “super original” place, she also keeps it next to another very important award in band’s history.

“I keep my GRAMMY on a mantlepiece.  I know, super original...I keep it there because [that’s where] I keep my other favorite trophy that I have, which is from 1997 and it is the third place trophy for the Schuylkill County Fair in Pennsylvania back when we started the band Halestorm.”

Hale describes in the rest of the video how “Love Bites (So Do I)” came together and how excited the band was just to attend the GRAMMYS in the first place.  The video also shows Hale reacting to a playback of the band’s acceptance speech that night, and it’s just another reason why all the freaks love Halestorm so much.

This year finds Halestorm nominated for Best Rock Performance for “Uncomfortable” and up against Arctic Monkeys’ “Four Out of Five,” Chris Cornell’s “When Bad Does Good,” The Fever 333’s “Made An America” and Greta Van Fleet’s “Highway Tune.”
