“Africa” By Toto will be played Until the End of Time in an African Desert
You read that title correctly! The 1982 hit will be played on a loop until the end of time in the Namib desert, which is located in southern Africa.
The installation will be called “Toto Forever” which was created by a Namibian-German artist named Max Siedentopf.
The sound installation consists of six speakers and an MP3 player that contains the one song and runs on solar power. So as long as the sun is out, the song will keep playing.
Max Siedentopf has made a map to show exactly where the installation is. So if you ever find yourself in the Namib desert and want to hear “Africa”, it should be easy to find.
Are you ready to bless the rains down in Africa? Hopefully not because I don’t think rain is good for an mp3 player.
