A woman upset that her family didn't approve of her extreme body modifications lifestyle, made an impulsive choice and had her belly button removed to spite her family. She wanted to dehumanise herself and cut all ties with her family. She then gave the removed belly button to her boyfriend as a symbolic gift of love.
