A drag racer named Mike Bowman had his parachutes fail as he tried to stop during a qualifying heat on Saturday. His car had topped 255-miles-per-hour, but when the chutes were released, they got tangled up.
His brakes slowed him down, but not nearly enough. The car eventually barreled into a sand trap and GIANT NET at the end of the track. He’s okay.
