Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington will forever be linked.

Cornell would've turned 54 today (July 20), while Bennington passed away one year ago today.  Their shocking suicide deaths were separated by mere months and is made only more painful considering Bennington sang at Cornell's funeral.

Both men were unique voices for their generation that stood out from the rest.  What better way to honor them than by looking back to when they joined forces and shared a stage.

Here are Cornell and Bennington performing the Temple of the Dog hit "Hunger Strike."

Rest easy, gentlemen, and say hello to heaven for all of us.
