Fire Ravages Cobain Exhibit at Aberdeen, Wash. Museum

Aberdeen, Wash. is very proud to be the hometown of the late Kurt Cobain, so news of a recent fire in the city’s museum has proven to be particularly devastating.  

Per KING 5 news, the Aberdeen Armory Building, which houses the city’s historical museum, senior center and a community shelter, fell victim to a fire this past weekend.  Fortunately, no one was hurt in the fire, but many valuable resources and records were damaged, including the city’s historical artifacts, including an entire exhibit on Cobain.

"People have come from around the world to see what we had on Nirvana.  Then we when they saw the rest of the history they were impressed. There's more to Aberdeen than just Kurt Cobain,” said museum curator Dave Morris.

So far, the cause of the fire has not been determined.
