Rock on the Range took place over the weekend in Columbus, Ohio, and two of the festival’s headliners took a moment to pay their respects to Chris Cornell in honor of the one year anniversary of his passing.

Alice in Chains performed two Soundgarden songs, “Hunted Down” and “Boot Camp,” to close out their set on Friday night (May 18.)  (Clips of each performance can be found below.) Tool, who closed out the festival on its final night (May 20), dedicated their entire set to “the friends and family of Chris Cornell,” according to  Alternative Nation.

Soundgarden was slated to headline Rock on the Range last year until Cornell’s unexpected death.
