The Offspring is promising to tend the long wait for its next album during 2018.

The group's last release, Days Go By, came out during 2012, and frontman Dexter Holland and guitarist Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman said during an official interview at the recent Rock In Rio festival that the punk quartet is on target for a new release next year.

Holland said that, "It is true. We're working on it...2018 for sure," while Noodles chimed in that, "We've got a few songs already done. We want to do a couple more and we definitely want to get something out soon. Our fans have waited long enough, I think, so we want to get something in their hands that they can listen to and hold and put in their ears."

Long waits are not new for the Offspring; The group's album before Days Go By, Rise And Fall, Rage And Grace, came in 2008. The group did release a single, "Coming For You," in 2015, but nothing since. It recently toured North America with Sublime With Rome.
