Photo by Rich Fury/Getty ImagesThere's no doubt that Trent Reznor and his collaborator Atticus Ross were a perfect choice to compose music for David Lynch's Showtime reboot of Twin Peaks, but Reznor says it didn't come easy.
During a recent Chicago radio interview, Reznor revealed that Lynch rejected the first song he and Ross submitted, telling the duo, "How about something less 'Twin Peaks'-y sounding, and more aggressive and ugly...Make my hair stand on end."
Reznor and Ross appeared in an episode of the series as well, performing "She's Gone Away" from Nine Inch Nails' 2016 EP Not The Actual Events. The song appears on Twin Peaks: Music From The Limited Event Series, one of two companion albums just released to coincide with the series' conclusion.
Nine Inch Nails recently released Add Violence, the second EP in a planned trilogy.
