Green Day has joined the ranks of musicians giving to Hurricane Harvey relief in Texas and other affected areas.

The group has announced a $100,000 donation to Americares and held a special Facebook concert on Tuesday (September 5) from backstage in Tampa, Fla. to raise additional funds for the organization, which is distributing water, supplies and medical aid to those in the affected areas.

In a statement, Americares President and CEO Michael J. Nyenhuis said that, "Americares is truly grateful to have Green Day's support. Their generosity and dedication means so much to us as we restore health and hope for those affected by Hurricane Harvey."

Donations to Americares can be made at Americares.org.
