Foo Fighters Round-Up: New Song Unveiled, Grohl’s Daughter Joins Band on Stage
Foo Fighters gave their summer tour an auspicious launch on Friday, June 16, at the Secret Solstice festival in Reykjavik, Iceland.
The group played three brand new songs during the set, including the recently released single “Run,” the previously unheard “La Di Da” and a full-band rendition of “The Sky is a Neighborhood,” which frontman Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins premiered acoustically during March at a charity concert.

Grohl told the crowd that, “I want to play you all the new f***ing songs!” but limited the selection to three. There’s been no word on whether or not the Foos are planning a new album that will include these tracks.
Also on Friday, Grohl’s daughter Harper, who he introduced as “the next generation — there’s another Grohl on the drum set now” — joined the Foos for a rendition of Queen‘s “We Will Rock You.”
The Foos have shows in Europe through July 7, then have sporadic shows in Japan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Berlin and Mexico City, with a lone U.S. date, so far, opening The Anthem theater on October 12 in Washington, D.C.
