VIDEO: Brian Johnson Makes Surprise Appearance During Muse’s Reading Festival Set

Exiled AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson made a surprise return to the stage over the weekend, joining Muse on Sunday (August 27) at the Reading Festival in England for a rendition of "Back In Black."

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy introduced Johnson with a simple, "He's back!" As the Reading crowd went bonkers, according to all reports.

Johnson was forced to quit AC/DC's Rock Or Bust World Tour during March of 2016 when doctors determined he faced the risk of permanent hearing loss; Johnson was replaced by Guns N' Roses' Axl Rose for AC/DC tours of Europe and North America, while Johnson has been consulting with hearing specialists about an in-ear device that would allow him to return to active duty.

Back in May Johnson joined Robert Plant and Paul Rodgers on stage in Oxford, England, for a version of Barrett Strong's Motown hit "Money (That's What I Want)."

AC/DC leader Angus Young has not yet revealed the band's future plans and intentions, which also include replacing bassist Cliff Williams, who announced his retirement after the tour.
